suspended, with heat exchanger
New housing and service construction poses more and more challenges for designers in terms of energy efficiency of buildings. One of the basic requirements in single-family housing is the use of supply and exhaust ventilation with heat recovery, i.e. the so-called recuperators. Tywent’s offer includes many air handling units for installation in various facilities and technological installations. One of such series of types is the B3B series – suspended air handling units with a drip-free heat exchanger
B3B recuperators have a high-efficiency counter-current heat exchanger made of plastic with a cellulose membrane. Cellulose is a highly hygroscopic material (it easily absorbs water vapour). This fact is particularly useful in single-family housing and many public buildings. The heat exchanger membrane allows the water vapor contained in the air extracted from the rooms to pass through and emits it to the air supplied to the rooms, thanks to which a beneficial phenomenon of humidification of the dry outside air is created. In this way, the recuperator provides both heat and moisture recovery.
The casing of the B3B recuperator is made of galvanized steel covered with micro-rubber on the outside. The design of the air handling unit is very light, so it does not require complicated assembly structures. The housing is equipped with handles, thanks to which the air handling unit can be mounted using pins in suspended ceilings. An additional advantage resulting from the recovery of moisture is the lack of condensation, thanks to which the investor does not have to install a condensate drain to the sewage system (which greatly simplifies installation in suspended ceilings).
B3B units were created for users who are looking for an uncomplicated air handling unit. The B3B recuperators use 3-speed AC motors with 230V power supply. The fan impeller is mounted on the motor shaft, which facilitates possible servicing. A radial impeller with forward-curved blades was used, which ensures quiet operation of the device. In addition to the recuperator, the user receives a timer with a blue monochrome display. The programmer enables e.g. programming of 4 different time sections for working days and separately for the weekend. It has a room temperature measurement and an alert about dirty filters. The programmer also has a voltage output, which can be used, for example, to switch on the initial heater (the heater is recommended when air is forced below -10oC to protect the exchanger against freezing).
